N2  - Bu çalışma uluslararası göçmenlerin varış ülkesine karar vermesüreçlerini, göç edilen ülkede kendi işletmerini kurmalarını ve bu işletmelerinpazarda varlığını sürdürmesini sağlayan faktörleri açıklamaya çalışmıştır.Araştırma İngiltere’nin Colchester kasabasında yaşayan Türk göçmen grubuüzerinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Nicelikel olarak küçük bir grup insanınLondra’ya yakın bir kasabada toplanması bu araştırmanın çıkış noktasını ifadeeder. Türk göçmenlerin Colchester gibi küçük bir yerleşim birimini tercihsebebi, burada yer alan küçük pazara entegre olma çabası ve ekonomiksürdürülebilirlik araştırmanın temel odak noktalarını oluşturur. Bu odaknoktaları üç-aşamalı araştırma kapsamında ele alınmış ve sistemli bir şekildeirdelenmiştir. Göçmenlerin network ilişkilerinin bu üç aşamadaki rolüsaptanmaya çalışılmıştır. Nitel olarak tasarlanıp uygulanan bu araştırmadagöçmenlerle mülakatlar yapılmış ve konuyla ilgili bazı önemli bulgular eldeedilmiştir. Göçmenlerin göç motivasyonlarında, serbest meslek sahibi olmasındave kurulan bu işletmelerin başarısında akrabaların ve kültürel bağlarınbelirgin şekilde önem ifade ettiği saptanmıştır.
