His Masnavi, ghazals, and other works are valued not only for their artistic qualities but also as key sources of Sufi metaphysics, reflecting concepts such as divine love, spiritual ascent, and the purification of the soul. In Azerbaijani literary studies, systematic research on Rumi’s legacy intensified in the second half of the 20th century, with Azada Rustamova playing a pioneering role. Her approach situates Rumi’s poetry within both literary and philosophical contexts, examining its metaphysical foundations, the theory of emanation, and its symbolic architecture. This article evaluates Rustamova’s interpretation of Rumi’s legacy and places it in dialogue with international scholarship from the West, Russia, Iran, and Turkey, offering a comparative analytical perspective.}, number={5}, publisher={Hakan YILMAZ}
