The goal is to identify general trends in academic production on the topic and to reveal gaps in the existing literature. Materials and Methods: The research was conducted using the bibliometric analysis method. A total of 17 theses, accessible through the National Thesis Center of the Council of Higher Education and meeting the specified criteria, were included in the study. The theses were systematically analyzed in terms of publication year, thesis type, academic discipline, advisor’s title, research method, and data collection tools. Findings: The findings indicate that the majority of the theses were conducted at the master’s level and primarily used quantitative methods. The literature is predominantly represented by the fields of psychology and health sciences, while the discipline of social work appears to be underrepresented. Furthermore, the limited use of qualitative methods suggests that the subjective and experiential dimensions of physical violence are insufficiently explored in the literature. Conclusion: Physical violence against women is understood to be a multidimensional issue associated with gender norms, patriarchal structures, and individual risk factors. From a social work perspective, there is a need for more participatory, multi-level, and holistic approaches in combating violence. The findings of this study highlight methodological gaps in the field and offer guidance for future research}, number={1}, publisher={İstanbul Esenyurt Üniversitesi}
