Kitap, erken modern Osmanlı edebî kültüründe ʿışk kavramını temel bir çerçeve olarak inceleyen bir derlemedir. Bu çalışma, derlemenin aşkı toplumsal, manevi, ontolojik ve şiirsel boyutlarıyla nasıl ele aldığını tartışmakta, ayrıca kitabın tematik düzenini, disiplinlerarası kapsamını ve editoryal bütünlüğünü değerlendirmektedir. Bireysel bölümleri kitabın genel yapısı içinde konumlandırarak eserin, aşkı yalnızca edebî bir tema olarak değil, daha geniş bir düşünsel inceleme alanı olarak ele aldığını göstermektedir.
