Of the 759 injuried, 53,8 per cent were male and 46.2 per cent were women. Adults had a higher injuries rate (49.9 per cent). Falling accidents (886 per cent) followed by collision accidents (114 per cent) were the cause of injury Bindings seem to release less frequently in accidents (56.9 per cent). Beginners (868 per cent) had a higher incidence of injuries Injured skiers were less likely to own their equipment. Out of all skiing injuries 70.2 per cent were soft tissue injuries and 608 per cent concern the knee joint.
