AB  - Bu çalışma, mevsimsel yerleşiklik ve yazlıkçılık kültürünü sosyolojik bir perspektifle incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Türkiye’de kırsal alanlara yönelik sosyolojik çalışmalar büyük ölçüde göç, çözülme ve demografik azalma temalarına odaklanırken, mevsimsel yerleşiklik ve yazlıkçılık gibi ara formlar çoğunlukla turizm, ikinci konut ya da ekonomik rasyonalite çerçevesinde ele alınmıştır. Bu araştırma Niğde ili Fertek Mahallesi örneğinde, yerleşikliğin sabit ve sürekli bir durumdan ziyade mevsimsel olarak kurulan, gündelik pratikler ve sosyal ilişkiler aracılığıyla yeniden üretilen bir toplumsal süreç olduğunu ortaya koymaktadır. Çalışma nitel araştırma yaklaşımıyla tasarlanmış; veriler yarı yapılandırılmış derinlemesine görüşmeler yoluyla toplanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler tematik analiz yöntemiyle çözümlenmiştir. Bulgular, yerleşikliğin döngüsel niteliğini, aidiyetin katmanlı yapısını, yazlıkçılığın yerleşiklik ile hareketlilik arasında konumlanan ara bir toplumsal form olduğunu ve mekânın gündelik pratikler yoluyla üretildiğini göstermektedir. Ayrıca katılımcı anlatılarında kolektif bellek, kültürel kayıp ve geleceğe yönelik kaygı söylemlerinin belirgin olduğu saptanmıştır. Çalışma, mevsimsel yerleşiklik olgusunu sosyolojik olarak kavramsallaştırarak, kırsal yerleşimler ve mekân-aidiyet ilişkilerine dair literatüre katkı sunmaktadır.

N2  - This study aims to examine seasonal settlement and second-home culture from a sociological perspective. While sociological studies on rural areas in Türkiye have largely focused on migration, social disintegration, and demographic decline, intermediate forms such as seasonal settlement and second-home practices have mostly been addressed within the frameworks of tourism, secondary housing, or economic rationality. Focusing on the case of Fertek Neighborhood in Niğde Province, this research demonstrates that settlement is not a fixed or permanent condition but a social process that is seasonally established and continuously reproduced through everyday practices and social relations. The study is designed within a qualitative research framework; data were collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews and field observations. The collected data were analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings reveal the cyclical nature of settlement, the layered structure of belonging, the positioning of second-home practices as an intermediate social form between settlement and mobility, and the production of space through everyday practices. In addition, participant narratives highlight themes of collective memory, cultural loss, and future-oriented anxieties. By sociologically conceptualizing seasonal settlement, this study contributes to the literature on rural settlements and space-belonging relations.
