Right femurs were frozen at -80° C for three weeks. Left femurs were autoclaved at 120° C for 20 minutes. The bones of both groups were examined by light and electron microscope. The histological and electron microscopic examination of the frozen bone revealed that cellular elements and structure were mainly preserved.
