After the operation he had good range of movements for a short time, but soon his movements became restricted. Fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva produces a catastrophic and crippling illness in young people. There is no effective treatment. In this paper, we emphasised that in the differential diagnosis of fibrodysplasia ossificansprogressiva, hereditary multiple egsositosis should be considered and an early correct diagnosis should be made carefully- A surgical removal should be avoided in a case of fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva because it causes further aggrevation of the condition.}, number={3}, publisher={Turkish Association of Orthopaedics and Traumatology}
