However, their diagnosis generally confused with intra articular pathologies an missed by the physician.We have diagnosed 15 neuromas in 13 knees patient (12 female patient and 1 male patient) in our clinic. Eight of the cases had occured after arthroscopic surgery, 6 of them had occured after trauma, and 1 of them had occured at the incision for ACL reconstruction. Systemic physical examination of the knees were made and MR were available. For the diagnosis, subcutaneous local anesthetic block was made to each case.Ten minutes after the block, examination of the knees were repeated. The result of the test was accepted to be positive when the pain of the patient had dissappeared by the block. A surgical denervation procedure was applied to cutaneous nerve through an incision 2 cm proximal to the pain localisation. The pain of 13 knees from 15 had dissappeared. The patients were evaluated by Lysholm score before and after the denervation. The average gain was 28 points.The diagnosis and treatment of neuroma are not difficult but the physician must keep it in his mind}, number={5}, publisher={Turkish Association of Orthopaedics and Traumatology}
