AB  - Rotator cuff-related issues and problems first appeared in the medical literature in the eighteenth century. A significant amount of knowledge was obtained on diagnosis and treatment over the twentieth century, most of which is the result of pioneering work of Codman and Neer. In this review, a chronological course of development is tracked to better understand future venues.
N2  - On sekizinci yüzyıldan beri yazılı kaynaklarda rastlanan rotator manşet sorunlarına güncel yaklaşım 20. yüzyılda geliştirilmiştir. Bu gelişimde Codman ve Neer’in rolleri büyüktür. Bu derlemede, rotator manşet sorunlarının tanı ve tedavisi ile ilgili bilgiler, bugünkü ve geleceğe ait sorunların daha iyi anlaşılması için tarihsel gelişim seyri içinde özetlenmiştir.
