TY - JOUR T1 - Yazma Eğitiminde Akıcı Yazma: Kuramsal Çerçeve ve Alan Yazınının Tematik Değerlendirmesi TT - Writing Fluency in Writing Education: Theoretical Framework and a Thematic Synthesis of the Literature AU - Karakoç, Zarife AU - Özdemir, Banu PY - 2026 DA - September Y2 - 2026 DO - 10.47994/usbad.1964708 JF - Uluslararası Sosyal Bilimler Akademi Dergisi JO - USBAD PB - Salim DURUKOĞLU WT - DergiPark SN - 2687-2641 SP - 1025 EP - 1058 IS - 23 LA - tr AB - Bu araştırma, akıcı yazma kavramının kuramsal çerçevesini ortaya koymak ve ulusal alan yazındaki birikimi tematik bir bakış açısıyla değerlendirmek amacıyla derleme yöntemiyle yürütülmüştür. KW - Akıcı Yazma KW - Yazma Akıcılığı KW - Yazma Eğitimi N2 - This study was conducted as a review with the aim of establishing the theoretical framework of writing fluency, a fundamental component of writing education, and of evaluating the national literature from a thematic perspective. Books, articles, postgraduate theses, and scientific publications accessed through Google Scholar and the YÖK Thesis Centre using the keywords “akıcı yazma”, “yazma akıcılığı”, “fluent writing”, and “writing fluency” were examined in terms of the definition of the concept, its components, developmental processes, its relationship with writing performance, and its pedagogical dimensions. The review of the literature demonstrates that writing fluency cannot be reduced to writing speed alone. The concept consists of multidimensional, complementary components including writing volume, accuracy, automaticity, fluency, organisation of thoughts, and lexical variety; and is directly related to the interaction between the automatisation of mechanical processes, cognitive load management, and higher-order writing processes. The national research was analysed under four themes: measurement and evaluation of writing fluency, relational variables, instructional practices and intervention programmes, and the representation of writing fluency in curricula. The findings reveal that pre school education and socioeconomic variables influence the development of writing fluency, and that feedback, peer feedback, and structured intervention programmes contribute to its improvement. However, the concept has not been addressed systematically in Turkish language arts curricula from 2006 to 2024. There is a need to increase standardised assessment tools, research targeting secondary education and digital writing contexts, and curriculum-based studies in national literature.
