AB  - Farklı zamanlarda gözlemlenen olay ya da objelerin durumlarındakifarklılıkların tanımlanması işlemi olarak ifade edilen değişim belirlemedeyersel ölçmeler, hava fotoğrafları veya uydu görüntüleri yalnız veya kombineolarak kullanılabilmektedir. Son yıllarda bu tür çalışmalarda kısa aralıklarlave sayısal olarak elde edilebilen uydu verileri sıklıkla kullanılmaktadır.İki veya daha çok zamanlı uydu verilerinin analizi ile yapılan değişimbelirleme işlemi için Iiteratürde birçok teknik bulunmaktadır. Uyduverilerindeki gelişmeye paralel olarak yeni teknikler de geliştirilmektedir. Bumakalede değişim belirleme çalışmasının planlanması, uydu verilerininseçimi ve değişim belirleme öncesi işlem adımları açıklanmıştır. Ayrıca uyduverileriyle yapılan değişim belirleme çalışmalarında sıklıkla kullanılangörüntü farkı ve görüntü oranlama yöntemleri açıklanmıştır.
