We further explain that Half-Value Layer (HVL) and tube output measurements were not available within the retrospective study design and that the use of both the DANCE and 2ABD dosimetric approaches strengthens the methodological robustness of the dose estimates. In addition, the potential impact of glandularity assumptions on average glandular dose calculations and the relationship between radiation dose optimization and diagnostic image quality are discussed. Finally, we emphasize the importance of future multicenter studies incorporating direct physical measurements, device-generated AGD values, and image-quality assessments to further advance mammography dosimetry research and support the development of national diagnostic reference levels in Türkiye.
