AB  - Bu araştırmamızda ilk dönem İslam fetihlerinden Abbâsî dönemine kadar iç ve dış güvenlikten sorumlu asker ve polislerin aldıkları maaş ve ücret miktarları, ödeme evreleri ve ödeme şekilleri incelenmiştir. Düzenli orduya geçişle birlikte, askeri divanlar kurulmuş, tüm askerlerin kayıtları deftere işlenerek düzenli maaş ödemeleri yapılmıştır. Ödeme miktarları daha ziyade devletin mali durumuyla orantılı olarak belirlenmiştir. Gerek asker gerekse polislerin aldıkları ücret her zaman halkın geçim standardının üzerinde olmuştur.

N2  - This study examines the amount of the salaries and wages,  their paying styles,  and paying time of soldiers and polices who were responsible for both internal and external safety in the state from the early Islamic conquers to the Abbâsîd period. With the passing on to the regular military system, militaristic councils were established, all soldiers’ records were registered and the salaries of soldiers were paid regularly.  The amount of paying salaries for soldiers and police was determined mostly to the economic situation of the state. However, the salaries of both soldiers and police were always higher than levels of life standards of ordinary people.
