AB  - Kırsal ve kentsel çevrede bulunduğuna bakılmaksızın tüm toplumlar değişmektedir. Kalkınma, bulunulan durumdan ya da bir önceki konumdan hareket ederek, değişime girmeyi öneren dinamik bir kavramdır. Kalkınma üzerinde en çok tanım yapılan kavramlardan biri olup, bir ülkenin yapısal niteliklerinin olumlu yönde değişimidir. Kalkınma sürecinin üç elemanı bulunmakta ve bunlar ülkelerin kalkınma uğraşlarında eş zamanlı olarak yürütülmektedir. Bu elemanlar; (1) Ekonomik Kalkınma, (2) Sosyal Kalkınma, (3) İnsan Kalkınması, olmaktadır. Kırsal kalkınma; insan yaşamına olumsuzluklar getiren kırsal çevre koşullarının iyileştirilmesine yönelik çalışmalardır.Anahtar Kelimeler: Gelişmiş ve Azgelişmiş Ülkeler, Kalkınma, Kırsal Kalkınma
N2  - All societies, rural and urban are changing all the time. Development is so closely associated with some form of action or intervention to influence the entire process of social change. Much has been written about the process of development, and the approaches which developing nations should adopt in order to develop. Reviewing this literature it can be concluded that a process of developments should contain tree main elements, as; (1) Economic Development, (2) Social Development, (3) Human Development. Rural development is defined as those institutions, activities and linkages that combine to improve the economic and social well-being of people in rural communities.
