Metod: Çalışma grubu 32 erken doğum eylemi ve 32 erken membran rüptürü olan gebe kadından; kontrol grubu EDE veya EMR bulunmayan 31 gebe kadından oluşturuldu. Her grubun serum ferritin düzeyi ölçüldü. Bulgular: Erken doğum eylemi ve erken membran rüptürü bulunan olguların serum ferritin düzeyleri sırası ile 17.615.0 gr/dl ve 15 7.4 gr/dl; kontrol grubunun ferritin düzeyi 10.5 7.7 gr/dl bulundu.Grupların ferritin düzeyleri arasındaki fark student's t-test kullanılarak karşılaştırıldı ve fark istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bulundu. Sonuç: Serum ferritin seviyesi erken doğum eylemi ve erken membran rüptürü bulunan kadınlarda anlamlı şekilde yüksektir. Method: The study group consisted of 32 consecutive subjects with preterm labor and 32 subjects with preterm premature rupture of membranes. The control group consisted of 31 subjects who did not have PTL or PPOM. Serum ferritin levels were assayed in each groups. Results: Mean serum ferritin levels in patients with preterm labor and preterm premature rupture of membranes were 17.615.0 gr/dl and 15 7.4 gr/dl, respectively. The mean serum ferritin in control subjects was 10.5 7.7 gr/dl. The difference was evaluated by student's t-test and was found to be statistically significant. Conclusion: The serum ferritin level is significantly raised in pregnant women with preterm labor and preterm PROM. CR - 1.
