N2  - Abstarct The research was conducted in a commercial fish farm named Ráckevei Dunaági in Hungary. In the  study, 165-948 gr eggs were spawned from 38 female broodstocks which are within the range 1,33-4,34 g  of total weight. The fertilization ratio was 64% after 24 hours. All of the larvae were hatched at 10th day  of fertilization and at the end of the 21st, all yolk sac were consumed. With this study, the culture  potential of northern pike as an alternative freshwater fish for Turkey was tried to be determined
