An attitude scale, made of 35 questions, and a personal information form, made of 6 questions, is performed on 885 students in 9th and 11th grades in Anatolian Teacher Training High Schools in the city of Kayseri. The scale analyzes viewpoints of students about teaching profession. According to the findings, there is not a significant difference between the attitudes of 9th and 11th grade students, who are teacher candidates. It is determined that the attitudes of 11th grade Turkish-Mathematics students towards teaching profession are more positive than the attitudes of 11th grade MathematicsScience students. On the other hand, the attitudes of Turkish-Mathematics students in terms of love and value are more positive than Mathematics-Science students. There is not a meaningful difference in consistence factor. In terms of economic conditions, Anatolian Teacher Training High School is mostly preferred by the children of middle class. In love factor, attitudes of students whose family income levels are between 500 and 1000 ₺, are more positive while in consistence factor, attitudes of students whose family income levels are between 1001 and 2000 ₺, are more positive. It is determined that, there is not a significant difference in value factor. There is not a meaningful difference between the attitudes of students who have a teacher in his/her family and who don’t have a teacher in his/her family. Generally, while students appreciate teaching profession, they don’t think that it is an appropriate practice for them and they don’t love it. It is found out that the reasons why teaching profession is not preferred are that practice follow-up activities and professional teaching knowledge classes are insufficient, students have some personal issues with the practice and they think that the status of teaching profession is low.}, number={9}, publisher={İdeal Kent Yayınları}
