N2 - Electrical earth resistivity measurement methods produce suitable solutions for different problems in engineering. In this study the water content of the base rocks of abandoned waste water (small scale) dam in SelcukUniversitycampus was researched. Water localization in the base rocks, its distribution in vertical and lateral directions were analyzed through electrical resistivity measurements. Similarities between this field tests and mining applications were also researched and several field implications were found in this industry branch as well. Country rocks around mine galleries, tunnels, open pit slopes and benches are all application site for electrical resistivity methods to control the rock masses beyond the visible part of them. Water content, discontinuity localizations, fault lines, disturbed zones, stressed zone around the pillars and galleries are all potential application sites for this methods. Measurements performed in this research are mostly similar to the application of electrical resistivity test to mining sites. In this study, earth resistivity of base rocks of waste water dam has been measured by earth resistivity equipment. Three different lines of electrodes have been used in the measurements (Combine Pole-dipole, Pole-pole, Pole-dipole).
