N2  - Due to their historical and cultural values, and being one of the most important representative entities of historical continuity and local culture, historical buildings and cities should be preserved and be sustained to further generations. The changing meanings and physical features of historical buildings and cities, therefore, must be documented correctly and reliably in a process of sustaining and preservation. Not only the buildings or cities themselves are one of the most important source for documenting, the archived informations by various institutions are vitally important also. Thus, the archives of the Institution of Preservation of Ministry of Culture have historical importance. From such a viewpoint, the aim of this study is to examine Kayseri Kapalıçarşı and Pervane Bey Medresesi by collecting and evaluating the archived information by the Institute of Preservation
