N2  - Tuta absoluta which is determined in Aegean  and Mediterranean regions in 2009  and quickly spread to the whole country becomes key pest of tomato. It has been  determined nearly all of province in Central Anatolia region in 2010. Open field and cage (2x2m)  studies were carried out to determine biological  characteristics of T. absoluta.  In the study, the first times occurring of adult, egg, larvae, pupae and per  year generations of T. absoluta were  determined. Open field and cage  trials were conducted on open field in Ankara. Also  overwinter of T. absoluta was  conducted. As a result, it was determined that the date first adult  emergence on 08.06.2011 and 24.05.2013  were respectively. In 2011 up to 3.5 generations per year was determined, while  in 2013 it was determined the pest could complete up to 4.5 generations per  year under conditions Central Anatolia region. The times of generations of T. absoluta in 2011 were 39, 29 and 36  days respectively. Times of generations were in 2013, first 32, second 29, third 31, fourth 47 days.  It was also determined that T. absoluta could not overwinter in Central Anatolia region.
