N2  - The study was carried out in the town of Ortaca (Muğla) for 10 months from 2009 (July-October) to 2010 (July-December) to determine population density of the citrus leafminer (Phyllocnistis citrella Stainton (Lepidoptera: Gracillaridae)) at five different lemon gardens (Çaylı, Güzelyurt, Dalyan, Ekşiliyurt, Aydınlar). Population density remained higher in July-August (overall ratio in the range 0,07 to 0,21 (the number of individuals/number of leaves)) comparing to that in September-October (overall ratio in the range 0,01 to 0,09 (the number of individuals/number of leaves)) at 5 different gardens in 2009. In 2010, density of citrus leaf miner’s larvae and pupae population in July was more than that in the other months at 5 different gardens (overall ratio in the range 0,06-0,1 (the number of individuals/number of leaves)). The larvae and pupae population density of citrus leafminer decreased at the end of December at all gardens (overall ratio in the range 0,008 to 0,0109 (the number of individuals/number of leaves)).
