In line with this purpose, 400 academicians were interviewed who work in ADIM Universities. After providing information on the historical development of mobbing, and defining the concept, those participating in mobbing were addressed. Then information on reasons behind mobbing, behaviors that can be defined as mobbing, the mobbing process, and experiences were discussed. Furthermore, the methods to define mobbing; the psychological, physical, family-related and social results of mobbing; and the methods to cope with such experiences were mentioned. Lastly, the concept of academician and their problems were approached, and information on mobbing in Turkey was given. After, the objective and method of study, universe and sample choice, data gathering tool definition, and the methods to analyze the data were mentioned. Then, the findings on the analyzed data were evaluated, and they were included in the conclusion with their comparison to the literature. According to the results of the study, 66.8% of the academicians stated that they experienced mobbing during their academic careers. Furthermore, gender, marital status, age, title, seniority, and the universities the academicians work for were determined to affect mobbing. It was concluded that the risk of exposure to mobbing is greater for female academicians compared to male academicians, while the same risk is higher for those having the title of Academic/Lecturer/Specialist compared to those having the title of Professor Doctor CR - Cemaloğlu, N.
