One of the experimentally m adewounds was treated in clasical medhod, and the next one isby grunulated sugar application. Any antibiotic was used expectin arthritis purulenta cases. The resistance of the wound was measured comparative-/y with an electronic prebe (Eastern-Animdletek-lnc. USA) inorder to· have an idea about the improvement rate of the healingresults of granulation tissue of experimentally madewounds in 3 dogs. From the other 3 dogs 1 gram of musclepiece was taken before and third and sixth day after the treatmentin order to detect the bacteria /eve/ on both of thewounds, that colony counts were m ade.Putrid flow from abscesses in different dimensions hasstopped varying in time ot 3 to 5 days by application of 40 %granulated sugar solution. This time was obtained as 4 days inarthritis and 2-3 days in bursitis cases. Complete healing wasin between 10-17 days.In the infected wounds it was detected that production ofgranulation tissue by ceasing of flow occured in 3 to 5 daysdepending on the size of the wound. lt has neeted 7 to 13daysfor granulation tissue to reac/J to the skin /eve/.lt was reported that the regression of the size of thewound half of its original size on the fifth day and a higher resistanceof sugar applied wound was detected in the measurementsof the granulation tissue improvement.Reduction of bacteria number was detected in sugar appliedwounds comparing with the other one in colony countingsbacteriologically.Findings at the end of this study was showed that becauseof good results, cheapness, easily applicabliness andmost abundancy of sugar it may be an alternative to otherclassical treatment methods.
