In education faculties, while some departments such as Secondary School Science and Mathematics Education and Secondary School Social Fields for Second School Education has five year (3,5+1,5) undergraduate programmes, some departments such as Educational Sciences, Primary School Education, Foreign Languages, Fine Arts, Computer and Teaching Technologies Education have four year undergraduate programmes. Moreover, the graduates completing the masters'programme without thesis can have the right of applying for the Ph D programme. When viewed from academic perspective, this situation arises, a question. To what is it fair to accept the students who have no experience in writing for a Ph D study? An evaluation form was established on this question and conducted on the academic staff in Buca Faculty of Education in Dokuz Eylül University.
