Gender, grade, socio-economic status and parenting styles differences were also searched in this context. For this purpose 350 (170 females; 180 males) students were randomly recruited from Mugla University Faculty of Education's various departments. Main instruments are Information Form, Humour Styles Questionnaire (Martin, Puhlik-Doris, Larsen, Gray, & Weir, 2003) and Interpersonal Style Inventory (Lorr, 1986). SPSS for WINDOWS was used for data analyses. The group differences were tested by independent samples t-test and F statistics. Pearson correlational statistics was also employed to search for relationships between interpersonal relationship styles and humour styles. The findings showed that there is a difference between the gender and grades according to the scores that they got from the subdimensions of interpersonal relationship styles “sensitivity” and “extraversion”; the gender and parenting styles according to the scores of the university students that they got from the subdimensions of humour styles “self-enhancing” and “affiliative”. The results are discussed in the light of previous findings and in the context interpersonal relationship styles and of humour styles, conducting future research for applications as well.
