N2  - Batı Karadeniz Türkiye kıyılarında, 2012 Ekim ayıile 2013 Eylül ayı süresince karaya vuran deniz memelileri üzerine aylık biraraştırma gerçekleştirilmiştir. 22’si afalina (%41), 19’u mutur (%35), 11’itırtak (%20) ve %4’ü tanımlanamayan olmak üzere toplam 54 Cetacea bireyi ölüolarak rapor edilmiştir. En yüksek ölüm oranı Mayıs ve Haziran aylarındakaydedilmiştir. Balıkçılık (tesadüfi ağa yakalanma) kaynaklı ölümler (%35)özellikle Nisan, Haziran ve Temmuz aylarında görülmüştür. Çalışmanın amacıbölgedeki aylık karaya vurma oranları hakkında ilk elden veri elde etmek,böylelikle yıl içindeki ölümlerin mevsimsel değişimleri hakkında bilgi sahibiolmaktır.
