The status of existing water resources was scrutinized and new alternative solutions for water supply were presented. Currently, the water demand of Sivas City is being supplied from water wells located near Tavra Creek and treated water fed from “4 Eylül Dam”. While the hardness of water supplied from Tavra Creek is 32 FS, Dams is 16 FS. Topographic location of the Treatment Plant is not suitable to feed the whole city network by gravity. Consequently half of the city is being fed by the water with hardness 32 FS, which comes from the Tavra Creek wells and the other half of the city is being fed by the treated water. The Pumping is necessary in order to utilize treated water for the whole city. Pumping Station will pump water to the reservoirs, which are located at the upper part of the city. The 16 FS water arriving from force main and treatment plant can be given to the city network thereby it will be mixed certain extently. So it can be possible Tavra Creek will not be disabled and the usage of surface water will be reduced. When the sources which meet the need of the city examined it will seen that drinking water problem will not be.
