In this study, it was invstigated fire properties of Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) which treated aqueous solutions of boric acid and borax mixture (7.3; weight:weight) and aqueous solutions of some natural extractives( bark powder, sumach leaf powder, gall-nut powder and acorn powder dissolved in to the 4 % conc. distilled water). Fire test performed according to ASTM 160-50 Standard Test Method. Fire test were made at three combusting stages: combustion with flame, combustion without flame and glowing. Mass losses of test specimens after combustion, and temperature records, photo density of each combustion stage were determined according to Standard. Natural extractives showed unfavourable effects on fire parametres. Also, they showed same or more badly burning properties compare to control specimen. However, boric acid and borax applied as secondary treatment over natural extractives possivitely effected some fire properties of Scots pine in significant level (P≤ 0.01) UR - https://dergipark.org.tr/tr/pub/erciyesfen/issue//270182 L1 - https://dergipark.org.tr/tr/download/article-file/236692 ER -
