N2  - After establishment of Greek State, some young people from Ottoman Greek community started a close dialogue with the University of Athens, Greek politicians, scientists and businessmen. Meantime they played a role to carry the political targets of Greece. The Greek Doctor Apostolos N. Psaltoff from Izmir is a good example for this situation. Indeed, he had scientifically dialogues with Greece. Also, he offered services to Greek State during the war years. He tried to unite the Anatolian Greeks with Greece, at least to establish an autonomous structure to Western Anatolia.He served as a volunteer to Greek Military Health Services during the Balkan Wars. He was in close contact with Mitropolit of İzmir Hrisostomos and he affected his views. He was participating at assemblies of Greek community. He is one of the leading names defending the rights of Anatolian Greeks, during the Anatolian Operation and especially after the Battle of Sakarya. He visited Athens and Paris as member of Mikrasiatiki Amina (Anatolian Defense) Organization on behalf of Anatolian Greeks. He corresponded with Eleftherios Venizelos during his premiership and afterwards related with the status of the Greek community
