N2  - The governments use taxation as a means of economy and fiscal policy. The taxation policies of the governments change by the speedy spread of the globalisation tendencies all over the world. It is necessary to evaluate the taxation policy in terms of transformation generated by globalisation in the field of taxation and to examine particularly in terms of Turkey. In this phase taxes gain a global dimension. Together with the globalisation nation-states get into the process of harmonizing their taxation policy. In this process differences occur between the economies of the states. This paper deals with the harmonization efforts of Turkish national taxation policy with the global policies by considering the global tendencies. The transformation of the Turkish taxation policies particularly due to the crisis experienced after 1990 had been focused in this paper
