Solar energy has been preferredbecause it is environment friendly, pollution-free, unlimited andcost-effective. Electricity from solar energy is obtained by using photovoltaic(PV) systems. The efficiency of photovoltaic systems changes depending on thechanging environmental conditions. The two most important factors affecting theoperation of photovoltaic systems are solar irradiance and temperature. Underfast changing environmental conditions, maximum power point tracking (MPPT)should be done in order to work at the maximum power point of PV system.Maximum power point tracking tracks the operating point corresponding to themaximum power point. Thus, maximum power can be obtained from PV system. In this study, simulation of the maximum power point tracking wascarried out using Perturb &Observe and Fuzzy Logic Control methods and theresults of these methods were compared. According to the simulation results, itwas seen that fuzzy logic control method was better than perturb&observemethod for following the maximum power point (MPP).
