N2  - Some residential areas of Anatolia, the cradle of civilization and culture, have become more advanced in culture and literature than some others. One of these places, Isparta is an important crossroad, which is mostly known as the land of lakes and roses, is located on the west side of Anatolia. Although the history of the city can be traced to ancient times, the city enjoyed its main development period during the reign of Hamidogulları. The city was the center of Hamidogulları and brought up many scholars, politicians and craftsmen etc. In this article, emphasis will be put on those historical figures such as scholars, kadis and sheiks etc. who lived in Isparta and its vicinity and in Sicill-i Osmani, written by Mehmed Sureyya. Emphasized by which characteristics these figures are mentioned. At the same time, information on the biographies of above-mentioned figures will be provided by benefiting from other sources
