The study covered 97 random samples in which the number of samples ranging from 1 to 24 depending on the exportation capacity of 23 dry fig exporters in 2005. The infestation rates varied between 0.0-29.9% for Aspergillus niger, 0.0-4.5% for Aspergillus flavus/Aspergillus parasiticus, 0.0-10.0% for Fusarium spp., 0.0-12.0% for Penicillium spp., 0.0-6.1% for Cladosporium spp., and %0.0-4.0 for Alternaria spp. in samples. Mean infestation rate for 23 exporter companies was found to be %8.36 for A. niger, 0.55% for A. flavus/A. parasiticus, 3.86% for Fusarium spp., 2.62% for Penicillium spp., 0.64% for Cladosporium spp. and 0.44% for Alternaria spp. 49 out of 56 Fusarium spp. isolates obtained in this study was identified as Fusarium verticilloides CR - Anonim, 2006.
