Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is an emer- gency application which is successively applied to maintain adequate respiration and circulation in children who experience cardiopulmonary arrest. It consists of many techniques requiring information, experience, and skills. Due to anatomical and phys- iologic differences between infants, children above or below eight years of age, and adults, pediatric CPR applications present several different charac- teristics from those in adults. Although CPR may be life-saving when applied in the first four minutes by trained individuals, brain damage and death may occur in delayed situations. Thus, appropriate train- ing should be provided to parents, attendants, policemen, firemen, and drivers, as well as health care personnel working with pediatric patients UR - http://dergipark.org.tr/tr/pub/ybhd/issue//278687 L1 - http://dergipark.org.tr/tr/download/article-file/260046 ER -
