N2  - The family members of the patients share similar  feelings with them. They become more nervous  and anxious if their feelings aren’t counted and  they are ignored. While giving nursing care to the  patients in intensive care unit, one of the duties  of health care workers is to fulfill the needs of  the patient's family as well. Nursing includes both  healthy and unwell people. In various studies  made especially in intensive care units, a healthy  or unwell person is evaluated with his/her own  environment. Nurses must approach the needs  of the family members of the patients as a whole  and they also must not pass over less important  needs of the family as a patient defender. The  health care workers must consider the patients  and their families together, and take precautions  for fulfilling the needs of the patient’s family, such  as being informed, trusting, being supported, and  feeling close
