The trials were carriedout in three different greenhouses in Adanalıoğlu – Yenitaşkent of Mersinprovince in Turkey in 2014-2015. Dazomet was mixed into the soil and then bedswere prepared, and was covered with plastic. The plots were saturated with drip irrigation before metam sodium wasapplied. Then, the fumigant of metam sodium was applied 2 days later with 10tons/da water. In 2014 July, the solarization treatment combined with dazometand metam sodium was effective against root-knot nematodes. The combinedtreatment of solarization and two fumigants was detected without any symptomswhile control treatment showed 6.84 galling index in March 2015. The 40 kg/dadazomet and 100 l/da metam sodium in combination with solarization had lessthan 2 galling index at the end of the production season. While the controltreatment showed mean galling index of 7.4, 7.9, and 7.6 at the same studyrespectively. Results showed that soil solarization to the beds combined withdazomet and metam sodium, resistant varieties are effective against root-knotnematodes in tomato in integrated approach. CR - Agrios G.
