Scale insect samples were collected from leaves, stems and fruits from different host plants and examined in the laboratory. Twenty-three species of Diaspididae were determined from 180 samples: <i>Aonidia lauri </i> (Bouché, 1833), <i>Aonidiella aurantii </i> (Maskell, 1879), <i>Aspidiotus hedericola </i> Leonardi 1920, <i>Aspidiotus nerii </i> (Bouché, 1833), <i>Carulaspis juniperi </i> (Bouché, 1851), <i>Carulaspis minima </i> (Signoret, 1869), <i>Chrysomphalus dictyospermi </i> (Morgan, 1889), <i>Comstockaspis perniciosa </i> (Comstock, 1881), <i>Diaspis echinocacti </i> (Bouché, 1833), <i>Diaspidiotus pyri </i> (Lichtenstein, 1881), <i>Diaspidiotus uvae </i> (Comstock, 1881), <i>Epidiaspis leperii </i> (Signoret, 1869), <i>Hemiberlesia cyanophylli </i> (Signoret, 1869), <i>Hemiberlesia lataniae </i> (Signoret, 1869), <i>Lepidosaphes conchiformis </i> (Gmelin, 1790), <i>Lepidosaphes gloverii </i> (Packard, 1869), <i>Leucaspis pusilla </i> Löw, 1883, <i>Melanaspis inopinata </i> (Leonardi, 1913), <i>Unaspis euonymi </i> (Comstock, 1881), <i>Parlatoria oleae </i> (Colvée, 1880), <i>Parlatoria pergandii </i> (Comstock, 1881), <i> Pseudaulacaspis pentagona </i> (Targioni Tozzetti, 1886) and <i>Torosaspis farsianus </i> (Balachowsky & Kaussari, 1955).
