N2  - This research was carried out to determine the knowledge level of health workers working at Oral and Dental Health Centers (ODHC) affiliated to the General Secretariat of Konya Public Hospitals Association. There search is sectional and descriptive. The universe of the research is the employees of the Oral and Dental Health Center. A total of 150 employee question sets were applied. The data were collected with the questionnaire created by the author after the literature survey was done.It was found out that 92.3% of the workers had to collect cutting and drilling medical waste in separate boxes, 51.3% of them had to throw away blue waste bags, 48% had put the drill bits into the drill tool boxes without removing the used injectors, They should wear an orange dress during the cleaning staff task assigned to carry medical waste, and 44% stated that they saw cutter piercing wastes as hazardous waste.The average score of the general knowledge about the employees' wastes was determined as 71.16 ± 13.17. 93.3% of the workers think that it is important to separate the waste at the source, 96% think that effective control of the waste management should be done and 96% think that the decomposition at the source of the waste will contribute to the formation of an institutional waste sorting culture.The findings of this study show that workers are educated on hospital wastes in large quantities, knowledge of wastes, information on waste disposal in all health facilities, employees should not throw waste in correct places according to colored bag application, throw waste into waste boxes without removing injector tips, hazardous wastes have shown that information on these issues is not sufficient. In this context, it is recommended that periodic in-service training should be continued and on-site controls should be done more frequently.
