Football supporting echoes an imagined communitynotion around a football team, as Anderson’s term used for a nation. Media isin an important position enabling the constitution and reinforcement ofimagined community. It has been debated, however, if traditional or new mediatools are more effective in this constitution and reinforcement. This study, inthis context, aims to shed light on the role of traditional and new media usein strengthening sense of group belonging of football supporters through focusgroup method.
