N2  - The incorporation of an argument into a verb is syntactic in that the unit is notmorphologically complex * as it always is in other languages. The unit isscmantically compositional, and the compounding process is productive except for(1d). (For this reason, we do not deal with oblique object incorporation in thispaper; it might be a lexical process.)
