N2  - In the reliability analysis of consecutive k-out-of-n: F system, components constituting the system are generally regarded as non-repairable. However, this approach does not reflect the reality in many engineering applications. In this paper, our purpose is to study a linear consecutive-2-out-of-n: F repairable system under the condition that the working time and the repair time of each component are both exponentially distributed. By using the definition of generalized transition probability, the state transition probabilities of the system are derived. When  is given, the system mean time to first failure is obtained. Also, maximum likelihood estimators of the system mean time to first failure are presented
