In theexperiments carried out for 670 h operating time and almost 3 months (October,November and December), nitrogen and air filled R51 sized earth mover tireswere used in the condition of mineral field, the variation of pressure andtemperature of tires were observed by the measurements in the defined timeperiods. According to the data obtained, it was observed that the use ofnitrogen did not provide any considerable improvements of decrease of tirepressure and tire temperature compared to the use of air. As a result, the highset up costs such as requirement of nitrogen generator, and the similaroperating performance with air show that use of nitrogen in earth moverpneumatic tires is not an advantageous method as well as estimated in theory.
