N2 - Abrasive water jet cutting is one of the most recently developednon-traditional manufacturing technologies being used increasingly in mining and machineproduction industry owing to the various distinct advantages over the other cuttingTechnologies.. Absence of the heat affected zone is the main advantage of this process. In spiteof briteness, ductileness and being composites it do have rather wide machining process, butstriations are the main disadvantage of this cutting technology. The technology must be knownvery well in order to increase the capacity and cutting performance. Abrasive water jet cuttingapplications on specimens with varying thickness and feed rate had been shown that artificialneural network can be used succesfully in this work. The lack of knowledge in describing thehydraulic characteristics of the abrasive water jet cutting will limit the development of theprocess control and optimization of the modelling. Therefore, in order to determine the optimalcutting performance of the process planning and cutting processs, mathematical models withdimensional analysis and artificial neural network applications are used. In this study, abrasivewater jet cutting has been analysed and the experimental data at various conditions had beenmodelled with the aid of artificial neural network.
