That the total active power valuedemanded by consumer and total active power loss occured at transmission line are supplied by plantshave been specified as pre conditions. Active power values, minimizing total fuel cost under theseconditions, have been computed. It has been called economic active power disspatch such studies.In thisstudy firstly, the problem has been solved with Lagrange Iteration (LI) method, accepted as aconventional optimization method. Later the problem has been solved with Genetic Algorithm (GA) as analternative method. Both results have been compared.
