N2  - In this study, we are presenting transcription and simplicification of the first published article aboutforesty written in Ottoman Turkısh. Title of the article is “Foresty Science” and the auther is MehmetNazif Bey then became general manager of the forest between the years of 1893-1908 in Ottoman State.This article was published in the first Ottoman popular scientific journal called Mecmû‘a-i Fünûn innumber 32 in 1864. This article about forestry is the first article published in a popular science magazin inthe Ottoman period. The article began by making the definition of forestry science is divided into threeparts this science, then it is said. Sowing and planting of trees with the first section, the second sectiondeals with the maintenance of the forest, which is the subject of the third section is stated that theprotection of forests. Forest floor in building location, the type of soil and the trees of the genusmentioned as important factors affecting the ground after it is mentioned. The next sections of the articlehas not been published.
