N2  - Human rights exist for protection of human dignity and integrity. These rights are indispensable, irrevocable and universal. Rights have come to the fore in the historical process as individual and political rights, socio-economic rights and solidarity rights. One of the important rights included in the rights of solidarity is patient rights, which are differentiated extensions of human rights in the field of health. Patients' rights are first applied by international conventions and declarations, followed by legal regulations to meet the claim. This study states the content of patient rights. Basic legal structure is explained by taking into consideration the constitutional articles, related laws and regulations. Institutions and organizations related to patient rights applications and promotion in Turkey’s healthcare organizations and the actual level of patient rights promotion is discussed. As a result, it has been emphasized to take necessary precautions for the patient's rights to be known by the society.
