While developing the scale, the researcher benefitted from the literature, open-ended questions applied to a group of vocational high school students, cognitive interviews with participants and expert reviews. Then, a pilot study was conducted with 201 vocational high school students. According to the exploratory factor analysis results, the final scale involved 25 items with 5 factors: (1) information gathering, (2) problem solving, (3) social communication, (4) routine communication, (5) sharing and entertainment.
