N2  - In this study, theimpacts of international migration on regional economies in Turkey are analysedfor the year of 2015, by using contingency tables of some socioeconomicindicators. Since there is a limited number of empirical investigationsconducted for this issue in Turkey, this study tries to make some contributionto this literature by using the most recent data and applying an empiricalmethod. By following this aim, in the first section of the study, theinternational migration position of Turkey is analysed in terms of mainstatistics and then emergent Syrian crises is handled shortly. Then the impactsof international migration on regional economies in Turkey are empiricallyanalysed and lastly, policy recommendations are developed in the conclusions. Asa result of empirical investigations, it was investigated that Syrian refugeepopulation does not affect well-being of regions where refugee camps existMoreover, it was handled that there are statistically significant relationshipsbetween Syrian refugee population, unemployment rate, inflation rate andresidential prices.
