N2  - As a result of rapid developments in recent years, the nature of thebusiness and family life has changed drastically. One of this developments is theincrease in the number of women in the business life. Due to growing number ofwomen in business life, the studies on "dual-career" - which refersthe working of the both of the spouses -has began to emerge. In this study, the job and life satisfactions of the dual-career employees were examined. In thiscontext, the effect of some demografic factors -such as gender, working in thesame organization with spouse, residing in the same city with the parents, workingin public or private sectors and the departments that worked in - on the joband life satisfaction were investigated in the dual-career spouses. Accordingto the findings of research which was carried out on 179 married dual-careerspouses employees; women who work in the same organization with their spouseslikely to have more job satisfaction than men, and also the employees who livein the same city with his spouse’s parents likely to have more job satisfactionthan the ones who live in the same city with his own parents.
